Time to be at the pool for a 6:00pm meet: 5:45pm
Lane timers operate a stop-watch to time swimmers in their events. May also write time on the timing slips (A-meets) or team roster (B-meets). Distribute purple ribbons to all 6&unders, both A- and B-meets. The head timer keeps a pair of backup stop-watches and may communicate with the starter, using a two-sided, color-coded paddle, to indicate whether the timers are ready for the next event.
